Health institutions in the state There are several Government Owned Health Institutions in Gombe State. The Federal Medical Centre FMC Gombe is a tertiary institution and has a 300-bed capacity and was established in 1996 by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The various clinical departments run specialist and sub-specialist clinics from Monday to Friday. There are eleven main wards in the hospital including the amenity ward.
