The state governor is the state chief executive officer with full mandate of the populace, chief security officer,
chief mobilize of resource and delivery of welfare to the people, his personal and official duties are merge in the
course of service and cover the following:

Chief Executive of the State;

Co-ordination of all activities of Government, Ministerial and Extra-Ministerial Departments and Agencies on
the implementation of all policies and decisions;

Clearing house for policy proposals from the various arms of Government for the Executive Council;

Policy guidelines to all agencies of Government, including Statutory Corporations and state owned Companies in
the implementation of their organizational objectives with a view to making them result-oriented and monitor
the implementation of such policy guidelines;

Liaison services with all levels of government, locally and internationally;

Ensuring that State Parastatals are managed and run in accordance with the administrative guidelines.

Monitoring performance of Parastatals and Government-owned Companies to ensure that they meet qualitative,
quantitative and financial target.

Appointments of Commissioners, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries, Membership to Statutory Bodies,
Agencies, Boards of Parastatals, Government-owned Companies, and Companies having Government interest.
